Burglary: Mariposa St and Pennsylvania St
September 28, 2008-2:00am-1000 blk of Mariposa-CN#081031555: Entry made through a cyclone fence, then a front door. Loss was a safe containing travels checks and money.
Robbery: 17th St and Mississippi
September 27, 2008-2:28am-17th/Mississippi-CN#081027441:
Officer Macias, as well as numerous Bayview units responded to the 300 blk of Mississippi. Officer Macias met with the victim, who stated that he was waiting for a taxi when he was approached by an unknown suspect and struck in the side of the face. The victim fell to the ground. The suspect asked the victim for his belongings. In fear, the victim gave the suspect his wallet, cash and cell phone. The suspect got into a waiting vehicle with three other suspects inside and drove away. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Officer Balingit and Macias were on patrol in the area of 17th and Wisconsin, where they were flagged down by a citizen regarding a robbery. Officers met with and spoke to the victim, who was bleeding form the nose and mouth. A medic was immediately called to the scene to treat the victim, who sustained cuts to her face. The victim told officers that she was walking in the area of 17th/DeHaro when an unknown suspect pushed her from behind. The victim fell to the ground, hitting her face on the ground. The suspect took her shoulder bag and fled the area.
